If you haven’t come across it yet, I’d recommend subscribing to Todd Bolen’s free Bible Places newsletter. It is full of interesting pictures of Bible lands and links to recent archaeological news. This month’s newsletter provides a link to a free download of H. G. M. Williamson’s Understanding the History of Ancient Israel (Oxford University Press, 2007).

I met Todd in Israel two years ago. His resources are wonderful and all of his blogs are helpful to me. Thanks for letting people know about his ministry.
